Sensitec supplies 200 millionth AF720 sensor chip to Continental

In November 2017 the sensor manufacturer Sensitec could report good news: the 200 millionth AF720 sensor chip was delivered to their customer Continental, Business Unit Sensorics in Frankfurt. The cooperation between both companies already started in the 1990ies. The decision to use magnetoresistive (MR) sensors instead of Hall based sensors, enabled Continental to increase its world market share in the field of ABS systems notably to more than 50 per cent. Finally in November 2017 the 200 millionth mark could be reached. This is quite a at specially in view of the fact that since now no functional field failure had to be complained.
