KTM19x1 series TMR based magnetic switches

The sensors in the KTM19x1 family are magnetic switch sensors based on the tunnelmagnetoresistive (TMR) effect.

The sensors offer

  • Very small size (SOT 23-3L package)
  • Low power consumption
  • wide supply voltage range 1.8 V to 5.5 V
  • extended ambient temperatur range -40 °C to +125 °C

This product family has various sensor variants for you to choose from.

Push-Pull output stage:

  • KTM1901 omnipolar switch
  • KTM1911 unipolar switch (south pole)
  • KTM1931 bipolar switch (latch)

Open-Drain output stage:

  • KTM1902 omnipolar switch
  • KTM1912 unipolar switch (south pole)

Suitable for different switching applications e.g.:

  • non.contact end-point detection
  • water-, electric- or gas-meters
  • switch detection for laptops

General information

The sensors of the KTM19xx sensor family are magnetic sensors with integrated tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) and CMOS technology for use in industrial and consumer switch applications. The temperature compensation circuitry improves stability of magnetic switch points over the whole operating range.

The sensors have a wide operating voltage range (1.8 V up to 5.5 V) and a wide operating temperature
range up to +125 °C.

Within the sensor families there are different variants available.

Sensors with ...

  • various switching characteristics
  • different switching points
  • push-pull or open drain output stage
  • high frequency switching of low-power version with 50 Hz switching frequency

The KTM19xx sensors are available in SOT23-3L packages.
