On March 12 and 13, 2025, Wetzlar once again became the gathering place for the international XMR community. Approximately 140 experts from research, industry, and development came together for the 17th XMR Symposium to exchange ideas on the latest trends, applications, and research findings in the field of magnetoresistive technologies.
Innovation Meets Networking:
Over the course of two days, the symposium offered a diverse program featuring a total of 20 presentations by international experts. Topics ranged from highly sensitive sensor technology and automotive applications to the latest developments in manufacturing technology. The presentations not only provided in-depth knowledge but also sparked lively discussions.
Focus on Personal Exchange:
In addition to the presentation program, the poster sessions, breaks, and the evening get-together provided ideal opportunities to establish new contacts and deepen existing partnerships. The open atmosphere fostered professional exchange and once again underscored the unique dynamism of the XMR community.
A Visionary Welcome Address:
Dr. Wang, Managing Director of Sensitec GmbH, welcomed the participants and emphasized in his address the central role of networking and interdisciplinary collaboration in an era of rapid technological developments.
A Successful Event with a Look Ahead:
The 17th XMR Symposium impressively demonstrated how important in-person meetings and professional dialogue are for the further development of XMR technology. The high turnout and positive feedback from guests make it clear: There is already great anticipation for the next symposium in 2027.
With an impressive gathering of almost 170 participants, the latest XMR Symposium took place in Wetzlar from 8 – 9 March 2023. After a four-year wait, there was great enthusiasm among the experts to finally meet in person again.
In his welcoming address, Dr Wang, the new Managing Director of Sensitec GmbH, introduced himself to the many new participants as well as many familiar ‘colleagues’. As announced, 24 international speakers gave high-calibre presentations on a wide range of topics, bringing the audience into contact with the latest research results and applications relating to XMR technology.
The atmosphere was lively and characterised by animated discussions, be it during the small poster presentations or during the breaks.
New connections were often made directly after the presentations and deepened during the socialising in the evening.
It was clear to see that the participants once again greatly appreciated this event.
